Many physio's perceive a need for associations to undertake mass marketing in an effort to grow overall industry revenues yet at the same time; good practices are urging the associations to address workforce shortages. Our view is that we assist practitioners to better market their own practice where there is already sufficient demand. The same approach is applied across the spectrum of private practice support functions.

I would suggest that the private practitioner is the public face of the physiotherapy profession and that support of the private sector in combating unruley actions by large insurance companies is paramount to the growth and continued public recognition of our profession.

Do you feel that the National Associations should be doing more to help the Private Practitioner Groups to fight against the deplorable tactics of the major health insurance companies?
